A Total Transformation
So the day finally arrived, after all the planning, measuring, and mock-ups were complete, it was time for delivery day! If you haven’t already, catch up on all the details in my last blog post, My Living Room Makeover with Bassett Furniture. From start to finish, my order was ready in about 30 days. Very impressive for custom order pieces! I felt like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for Santa! I could barely sleep!
In the interim, as we awaited the arrival of the items from Bassett Furniture, I began prepping the living room! My husband gave the living room a fresh coat of paint, we installed plantation shutters along with new hardwood flooring, and added a feature wall with board and batten that we designed ourselves! We finished these projects just in the nick of time for the delivery day!
My design consultant from Bassett Furniture of Coral Gables, Crystal, arrived promptly at 11:00 am to ensure proper delivery and placement of my order. This is a free service that you receive with your order. She inspected every piece, made sure it was placed exactly where it should be, fluffed every pillow, directed the delivery crew on placement, she took the reigns! It was so reassuring to have her there making sure it all went smoothly. Together we saw my vision come to fruition. She took what I had envisioned and magnified my expectations ten fold. Her guidance and expertise was such an asset in the design of the room and for the pieces and finishes we chose. It’s such a great relationship we have formed, where I can text her with any questions or concerns, before, during, and even after my delivery!
The pieces we chose have a very relaxed modern feel. The main anchors were the modular pieces from the Envelop Series which can be reconfigured differently. They are separated as two Envelop Sofas and two Envelop Ottomans. They are grandiose, and fit this large space perfectly. They are extremely comfortable! I’m excited that I can reconfigure them to fit our changing needs.
Next was the addition of two Axel Side Tables. The finishes were all customizable. It paired beautifully with the Palisades Etagere which we customized the wood tone shelves to match the Axel table tops!
We decided to flank each side of the Palisades Etagere with the Kinetic Circles Art, A, B, C, and E. I love the pop of color and interest it added! Such a beautiful focal point! Thanks to Crystal for recommending them. I would have never thought to pick them, and I’m so thankful she did!
From there we added lighting. The Haines Table Lamps made of glass and warm bronze bases set the right amount of ambiance but didn’t compromise the openness of the room. The Dwight Adjustable Floor Lamp was the perfect compliment to the lamps! So sleek, and I love the two tones of black and gold!
Lastly were the beautiful set of pillows! The Abbey, Bates, and Ferguson Pillows paired perfectly together! They added warmth and texture to the sofas just perfectly.
Symmetry was key to this design, so there was a mirrored effect for each side of this living room. Just about two of everything! Double the fun!
A side note to the beauty of this room is the fact that we added The Guardsman Gold Protection Plan which ensures that my Envelop furniture pieces will remain beautiful for many years to come!
